Correct. You need 60 for a perfectly smooth experience. I have reduced various settings to be able to run MSFS at a constant 60fps, but IMO that's only required for VFR flying, sightseeing and aerobatics. Flying airliners and/or IFR, 30 is sufficient without being an immersion killer.
