Whilst 2022's MW2 isn't as perfect as the original, it was never going to be. The original MW2 was the perfect storm of everything that makes an FPS campaign good. 2019's Modern Warfare, however, does out-perform its predecessor in terms of combat, scope, and story.

Why was mw2 so good?
Answer: Good map design, ridiculously overpowered secondary weapons and nice floaty reload animations which made you feel like you were an assassin. You would spawn into chaos with AC130's and Pavelows doing rounds in the sky; there really was no shortage of action, especially in the more 'normal' size maps.
