I wish I had some super secret way for you to access Kaer Morhen earlier in the game, but there simply isn't one. The only way to get to the fabled Witcher stronghold of legend is to plow through the main story until it takes you there. Ugly Baby is a level 19 quest, so it requires a fair chunk of progress to get to.
